RacksBrax Brackets: A Universal Approach to Your 4WD Setup

There is no such thing as a one-size-fits-all 4WD.

Roof racks are different. Awnings are different. Recovery equipment is different. Even the way people use their vehicles can be completely different.

That is why RacksBrax has developed a universal approach to brackets.

Rather than designing a bracket around one particular vehicle, roof rack or accessory, the RacksBrax bracket range is designed to provide flexibility across a wide variety of setups.

The result is a more universal way to think about mounting your 4WD gear.

UNIVERSAL DOESN’T MEAN ONE-SIZE-FITS-ALL

The RacksBrax range includes HD Adjustable Brackets, HD L Brackets, HD 15 Degree Angle Brackets, XD Adjustable Brackets, XD Side Twist Brackets and XD Rooftop Tent Adjustable Awning Brackets. Each has a particular job, but the common idea is adaptability.

HD L Bracket

Provides a universal mounting solution for HD Hitches and compatible mounted accessories, pull-out awnings and shower awnings. It can be mounted in multiple orientations on roof-rack bars and platform racks, helping accommodate different rack designs.

HD Adjustable Bracket

Takes flexibility further, offering 50mm of height adjustment in 12.5mm increments. It can also be positioned vertically or at 15 degrees, depending on the application.

XD Adjustable Bracket

Designed for larger 180°, 270° and similar awnings, with height adjustment and different bracket configurations available.

XD RTT Adjustable Awning Bracket

For rooftop-tent applications, providing another universal-style mounting option for compatible awnings and some shower tents.

UNIVERSAL FOR REAL-WORLD 4WD USE

The advantage of this approach becomes apparent when your vehicle changes.

✓ Perhaps you upgrade your roof rack.
✓ Maybe you change your awning.
✓ Setup grows from pull-out to 270°.
✓ Lower gear for garages or car parks.

A universal bracket approach gives you more ways to configure the system rather than locking you into a single arrangement.

HD 15 Degree Angle Bracket

Designed to reduce headroom when recovery boards are mounted to the side of a vehicle, helping make garages, car parks and shopping centres easier to navigate.

XD Side Twist Bracket

Takes a similar practical approach for compatible XD setups, allowing the bracket to be rotated after the awning has been removed.

ENGINEERED FOR THE REAL WORLD

Universal flexibility only matters if the hardware underneath it is engineered properly.

5mm Stainless Steel Construction

RacksBrax brackets are designed with the realities of 4WD use in mind, using 5mm stainless steel in key components to provide a strong, durable foundation for the hitch and accessory system.

That thickness matters. These brackets are not simply decorative mounting plates. They are part of the load path between your vehicle, roof rack and the equipment being carried. They need to cope with vibration, movement, changing loads and the conditions that come with travelling off-road.

Stainless steel also makes sense for equipment that spends its life outdoors. Roof racks and accessories are exposed to rain, dust, mud, salt air, road spray and temperature changes. Material selection is therefore an important part of long-term reliability.

The engineering philosophy behind RacksBrax is about more than simply making something strong. It is about creating a system that is repeatable, adjustable and practical.

The brackets are designed to work as part of a broader system, allowing the position and orientation of compatible accessories to be adjusted to suit different vehicles and roof-rack configurations. That is particularly useful when you consider how different modern 4WD setups can be.

  • A bracket may need to sit higher or lower.
  • It may need to accommodate a different roof-rack profile.
  • An awning may require a different mounting position.
  • Recovery boards might need to sit differently to clear a garage door or vehicle bodywork.
Good engineering gives you options.

And that is where the combination of 5mm stainless-steel construction, adjustable mounting solutions and the RacksBrax hitch system comes together.

The objective isn't to overcomplicate the setup. It is to engineer the hardware properly so the user doesn't have to.

Australian 4WD conditions are a demanding testing ground for equipment. RacksBrax brings that engineering mindset to every bracket in the range — with an emphasis on strength, durability, adjustability and long-term practicality.

Strong materials. Thoughtful engineering. Universal possibilities.

That is what sits behind the RacksBrax bracket range.

UNIVERSAL THINKING. SPECIFIC ENGINEERING.

⚠️ Note: The HD and XD Hitch systems are engineered for different mounting dimensions and are not interchangeable. Checking the relevant compatibility requirements remains important.

That is actually what makes the RacksBrax bracket range useful. It isn’t trying to make every application identical. It provides a universal range of solutions for different applications.

Different racks. Different awnings. Different accessories. Different adventures.

One underlying philosophy:

Make your 4WD adaptable.

Because your gear shouldn’t dictate how you use your vehicle.

Universal thinking. Practical engineering. RacksBrax.
