The XD Multi-Awn Adaptor is engineered to extend the number of roof rack mounted 180°, 270° and 360° wing-style awnings that can be attached to the Racksbrax XD Hitch.

This XD Multi-Awn Adaptor accommodates awnings with spine spacings that fall outside the usual 100-120mm centres that the XD Hitch would usually otherwise suit.

Typical mount point spacings covered by the XD Multi-Awn Adaptor are 135mm (30 Second awning), 150mm and some awnings that have 4 attachment points such as the Bushwakka® range and the SUPA PEG 270 Outbound Shield 6.

Note that awnings MUST NOT have mounting point spacings less than 65mm.

XD Multi-Awn Adaptors come in double and triple sets. Refer to the XD Hitch for the appropriate number of Hitches (and matching number of Adaptors) and recommendations related to wind, rain and snow.

Delivery & returns

Shipping times

Shipping times are a guideline only and subject to change. You may experience slightly longer delivery times during peak period e.g. sales and promotions periods, wild weather or other courier delivery issues which are unforeseen or unavoidable events beyond RacksBrax’ reasonable control. If you place your order over a weekend or public holiday it will be processed and sent out the next business day (Monday to Thursday).

Changes to orders

International shipping

International shipping is not available at this time; orders placed on this website can only be delivered in Australia. Contact one of our international distributors to see what is available in country.

Same day dispatch

All orders received by 2.00pm on a Monday to Friday will be packed and shipped that day. Orders after 2.00pm will be shipped the next business day. Once your order has been packed and shipped you will receive a confirmation email from RacksBrax which will include your Australia Post eParcel (or StarTrack) consignment number so that you are able to track your order.

Authority to Leave (ATL)

All couriers are defaulted to Authority to Leave (ATL).

Lost or damaged goods

If your order is lost or damaged in transit please contact sales@racksbrax.com during business hours. If you have not received your order within the above recommended delivery time frames, please contact us so that we can assist you.

Returns

Engineered Touring Solutions Pty Ltd (RacksBrax) may, at their sole discretion, provide a refund on the return of the Products within 30 days where the Product packaging is unopened and remains in a saleable condition. You acknowledge and agree that you are liable for any postage and shipping costs associated with any refund pursuant to this clause. Where refunds are granted these will be credited to the credit card used for purchase or to your PayPal account.

WHY AN XD MULTI-AWN ADAPTOR?

The RacksBrax XD Hitch is designed to permit the fast release or fast loading of (180°, 270° or 360°) wing style awnings with vertically spaced mounting points in the range of
100mm to 120mm. A number of awnings do not fit this requirement. The XD Hitch in combination with the XD Multi-Awn Adaptor enables more of these awnings to fit with mounting points as far apart as 150mm. It also facilitates some awnings with 3 or 4 mounting point centres.

For a full range of awning mounting points which are available with the XD Multi-Awn Adaptor see Figure 2. This figure shows the dimensions of possible wing awning mounting points that fall outside a 100-120mm centre to centre range. This figure shows the possibilities but, in any event, awnings MUST NOT have a mounting point spacings less than 65 mm.

NOTE: These instructions must be read in conjunction with the instructions for
the RacksBrax XD Hitch RB-INS-009 suppled with the RacksBrax XD Hitch.

HOW MANY XD MULTI-AWN ADAPTOR FOR MY AWNING?

Racksbrax XD Hitches and the XD Multi Awn Adaptors are sold as separate products, each in double or triple packs.

1. Firstly, the number of XD Hitches/XD Multi-Awn Adaptors must not be less than the number of brackets (support points) recommended by the awning manufacturer.

2. Secondly, for a given wing awning type, the table below outlines the minimum number of XD Hitches/XD Multi-Awn Adaptors needed, which may exceed quantities in 1 above. Ensure you satisfy the requirement of each column for your given awning whilst ensuring you also comply with 1 above.
